Our twenty suite, state-of-the-art Supportive Care unit opened in the spring of 2007 in order to provide a unique life style option for seniors who are making the transition from living independently to needing assistance with their activities of daily living. That transition need not be accompanied by the loss of companionship, social opportunities, or of interesting life experiences.
Our Supportive Care team of licensed nurses, trained personal caregivers, housekeepers, chefs and administrators are all committed to helping each resident live life fully in a safe and pleasant environment. Residents may choose our staff physician, Dr. Jay Klein, to be their primary care physician, and receive routine health care services on site. We have a high ratio of staff to residents in order to provide one on one activity in addition to the group experiences, and to allow our family to include residents who may need a higher level of care than that provided by most assisted living centers. Our licensed home is staffed 24 hours a day and our overnight staff are awake and available to tend to the needs of the residents at any hour.
Each of the personal suites may be decorated to suit individual tastes, and includes: a private handicapped accessible full bath, built in room divider with bookshelves and storage, desk with phone, and cable television access. Our building floor plan includes a continuous rectangular hallway connecting suites to the dining room, beauty shop, living room, activity room and other common areas. Centered in the home is a landscaped outdoor courtyard offering residents a safe, peaceful setting to relax and enjoy the out of doors.
